General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, the jaundice of the kid on secoond day is a physiological process, and probably he is cleared of it by now.
The cold and cough is due to allergy, called trachiobronchitis and he can have complete relief of it when he is 4 years old.
Upto that time he should be under the supervision of a pediatritian for relief. There is possibility of eosinophelia, the treatment should contain di ethyl carbamazine citrate, along with other medicines, and he needs nebulizer as well. Thank you.

Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

If it is only physiological jaundice there is nothing to worry about it. Physiological jaundice is the jaundice which occurs in normal new born babies. We should be worried only in pathological jaundice.

Monitor your kid for
1.     Fast breathing
2.     Chest indrawing
3.     Abnormal sound during breathing
4.     Vomiting (recurrent)
5.     Bluish coloration of lips or fingers

You should consult your doctor in the presence of any of these danger signs.

Continue to ask further queries.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
