Hi,
Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.
There may be the following possibilities in your child :
1. Local infection of penis like Balanoprosthitis
2. Angioedema or
allergic reaction to a insect bite
3.
Urinary tract infection.
Balanoprosthitis is infection under the area of prepuce of the penis.
It is due to accumulation of smegma and a secondary infection with bacteria.
It can be prevented by cleaning the area gently daily while giving bath once after the present infection have been treated.
The yellowish discharge is due to some infection.
If the penis swelling is due to allergy, local application of calamine or a steroid cream along with an oral antihistamine like
cetirizine or
hydroxyzine in prescribed dose will be helpful.
Urine to be sent for complete urine examination and for culture and sensitivity to find out the infection and to know the type of organism and its sensitivity to a particular organism.
So consult the
Pediatrician for the examination and for appropriate management.
Hope I have answered your query.
Regards.
