Child With Vomiting, Lack Of Appetite And Diarrhea. No Fever. Need Immediate Care?

My 17 month old started vomiting Sunday night, she stopped Monday morning. She doesn't have a huge appetite and she has diarrhea and is very fatigued. She slept almost all day today, extremely fussy which is not normal behavior. No fever present, every time I take her to the dr they tell me if have to continue to let it run its course and pretty much that I'm wasting my time. Is there anything I can do or should I take her in?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

Diarrhoea causes loss of electrolytes and fluids which can cause weakness and fatigue. If the vomitings and diarrhoea are controlled then it shall take some time (a day or two) for the child to return to normal activity. Ensure that she is not dehydrated.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing your daughter an early recovery.

Regards,
