Child's Body Temperature Suddenly Freezing. What Is Happening ?

IS IT POSSIBLE FOR A CHILD NOT TO BE ABLE TO MAINTAIN BODY TEMPERATURE AND GET SO COLD THAT THE CHILDS BODY COULD FREEZE FROM THE INSIDE OUT...IVE HEARD OF SOME KIDS HAVING TO BE KEPT COOL BECAUSE THEIR BODIES GET TOO HOT And they cook from the inside out and die....
we are the parents of a 3 week miracle baby girl and she has the cold problem and we have to keep her really warm constantly. our dr just talks in the medical jargon and doesn't really talk English so we understand whats happening.

Children have a higher metabolic rate compared to adults and the body temperature is relatively high.Suddenly fall in temperature doesnot happen normally. If it is associated with change in body colour (bluish tinge) or inactivity this requires medical attention.Consult a pediatrician (if you do not understand your doctor) and get his opinion.Hope this helps.Take care.
