Chipped A Bone In Left Pinky, Wore A Splint, Infection Under Nail Bed, Terribly Itching. Is It Normal ?

Hello,
On Thursday June 6th I had chipped a bone in my left pinky tip and the nail had also lifted up half way. The tip of my pinky is now inwards towards my ring finger. I did not see a doctor until Sunday June 9th. They did x-rays and told me I chipped the bone and they had given me a splint that I wore for the day and that night. I also had an infection underneath my nail bed. Today, the side of my pinky that tilted inwards is itching terribly. The skin is shaving slightly every time I scratch it against something. Is this something I should look into or is this normal for the healing process?

The itching is not necessarily a good sign,it may be secondary to a fungal infection or a bacterial infection. It would be prudent to see a doctor again ,especially since the tip is tilted inwards.
