I had a bad fall during roller derby five days ago. I fell straight down onto my coccyx. When it happened, I felt a crack across the middle of my back and excruciating pain. I didn't feel the pain from my coccyx until much later. My arms and legs were all ok and I had no black outs or anything. I went to the emergency department where they made me walk (very painful) and tried to get me to sit on a bed (I couldn't), told me my coccyx was probably broken and gave me painkillers before sending me home. No X-ray was taken.

If it was just the pain from the coccyx I wouldn't be too bothered, although that's painful enough! The pain further up my back is worrying me though. It hurts to move and breathe, and when I turn over in the night my back sort of crunches. Do I need to be worried or could it just be muscles cracking?
