Constant Discharge After Being On Implanon. No Help From Antibiotics. Clumpy Periods With Cramps. Possible Infection?

hello, I've been on the implanon for a couple of months and I've notcied discharge. The discharge never seemed to go away and then after about a month I went to the doctor because I thought I had a bladder imfection. The doctor said I didn't have a bladder infection but she gave me antibotics anyway
After my appiontment, I was still having discharge and four weeks later my period started. I have been on my period for about a month and my period blood is clumpy and I'm having cramps. I'm not sure if I have an infection or if I should go to the doctor again?

Hello,
Thank you for the query.
I have gone through your query and understood your concerns. The first thing you need to know is after having an implanon placed most of the people will suffer with some side effects and in that irregular bleeding is the first most thing which is mentioned as a normal side effect until and unless it bothers you a lot. You must even rule out ectopic pregnancy at present as you are even having cramps and immediate attention is needed for this. If you were my patient I ll definitely go for a scan done for you to rule out other causes and if you think that the normal side effect of implanon is bothering you then you can ask your treating doctor to remove that. Thank you.
