Constant Pain In Right Arm. Temporary Relief From Heating Pads, Ice Packs. Diagnosed As Tennis Elbow. Opinion?

I've pretty much figured out that i have elbow tennis. I really do play tennis, although i havent actually played in the last few months. I also think that this has something to do with my other hobby, playing drums. i've been playing drums now for about 30 years. i usually play the drums about 2 or 3 hours a week. My right arm constantly hurts all day. I've tried everything from ice packs to heating pads, Aleve, to wearing a elbow brace. All of this is only a temporary releif. Per my last doctor's visit ( about 2 months ago). He agreed i had tennis elbow, as for my arm constantly hurting he recommended that i take 2 Aleve everyday....so with all that said What's your thoughts?

Greetings of the day

Tennis elbow us commonly seen in tennis players. It can also occur in other activities and sports. Any repeated action which causes movements on lateral aspect of elbow joint can be contributing factor for the tennis elbow. Even using of drum is known to cause it.

Management includes rest at time of pain, analgesic, hot water fomentation and physiotherapy.
I completely agree with the advice of your doctor.

Do get back to me if you have a any query.

Take care
