Constant Pain In Tailbone With Shooting Sharp Pain Down Left Leg. History Of Injured Tailbone. Possible Reason?

Iah have injured my tailbone before and no realized it at the time but after a long run usually my tailbone hurts. But now it has hurt continuously for three days particularly on the left side and center of it. It s beginning to shoot sharp pains down my left leg. What could cause this? I am a runner and run every day atleast a mile.

Back ache associated with shooting of pain in lower limb, I would consider the possibility of prolapse intervertebral disc as the important diagnosis. Diagnosis is based on good clinical examination and MRI scan of spine. Suggest you to consult a spine surgeon
