Constant Stomach Ache. Tried Milk Free Diet, Controlled Toileting. Problem Persists. Suggestions?
My daughter has complained off and on for about 12/18 months of stomach pains, it is now waking her during the night, she goes to the toilet normally, we have been to the doctor a couple of times, 1st prescribed lactulose , another has said she has a lot of gurgling and maybe some trapped gas, maybe to try her on a milk free diet , she has been following this diet for about a week/10 days and there has been no change, she was sent for a scan on her bladder after dificulty controlling her bladder she was prescribed a tablet to stop her bladder spasuming. her tummy ache remains even after we have her toiliting under controll?

you forgot to mention the age of your daughter
if she is less than 5-8 years
i would suggest deworming once
try tab albendazole
usually one tab is enough
i would suggest one tab daily for 3 days
if she is a bit older
i would suggest tan omeprazole 20 mg once daily in the morning
and avoid fatty and heavy food
you might want to find out if she has a foos allergen
see if she complaints of more pain after some foods
or less pain when some food is avoided
an ultrasound/mri abdomen will always help
