Constipated, Gets Stomach Pain, Prescribed Malox. Still Has Gas In Stomach, Prescribed Duphalac, Barium Enema. Is It Safe ?
Hi Dr.
Good morning my 8 year old daughter had constipation, she is not regularly going everyday her usual routine is every 3 to 5 days, it alams me when she had stomach pain at first time she had stomach pain it lasted for one week we went to her Pedia and she gave her maalox as the Dr. said that it's gastritis, though my daughter is not really into liking of any medicine in short, I'm having a hard time giving her medicine for she didn't like the taste. the pain dissapear after a week but her tummy still have gas, After 3 week of pain free it occurs again just this july 22 and until now Her Pedia prescribed duphalac and barium enema for we had an x-ray and it said that fecal stasis clinical correlation is suggested. My concern is, is lactulose duphalac safe or barium enema?
