Continuous Coughing Sensation, Pain In Muscles And Joints, Have Quit Smoking. Cause And Cure?
I quit smoking 2years ago and have started this cough just very recently like 5-7 days ago and now with some mucus it does remain clear, but the coughing sensation is still there, and it almost feels like a cold ...... but I am unable to shake it? Right now I do not feel bad but initially I felt the 1st day all this pain in my muscles, joints for about 2 days, until I took some ASA.
After reading your symptoms, i feel there can be 2 things which could have caused this condition:
-common cold with throat infection leading to muscle and joint pain(general malaise).
-allergic in nature: sometimes an allergen can cause the same symptoms which get eliminated once the allergen is removed.
In your case, it feels more like the throat infection which needs to be treated. Ideally you should be given a mild antibiotic along with analgesic.
You also need to do warm saline gargles (3-4 times/day) to relieve the cough sensation from your throat. Losenges may also help with the same.
The joint pain is a side effect of common cold, which goes once the infection reduces with time/medicines.
Hope i have answered your querry.
Regards
