Continuous, Late Periods For 2 Weeks With Dark Reddish Brown Discharge, Tender Breasts. Guide
I am a 26yo mother of one, he is five. I am active and for the most part in good health. I have been on my period for 16 days now and am getting concerned. It is not heavy, i usually start between the 4th and 8th of the month. but not this time, I started on the 21st. I also usually have a 4 to 6 day period. heavy the first two days then it will be light, turn brown and stop. I thought that it was tring to stop but my flow has been dark reddish brown for over a week now. its not much at all. more like a gooey discharge.( gross i know) and now two days ago my breast started to become tender. Thanks in advance for any feedback/advice.
Hi, Thanks for your question. I think you should go for a pregnancy test & a trans-vaginal ultrasound as this bleeding pattern is certainly not normal. If it is possible for you, go to a Gynecologist & report this issue as this may represent some underlying pathology like polyp, fibroid etc. Your pelvic examination by the doctor may give valuable information. Wish you good health.
