Continuous Pain In The Lower Arm With Stinging. Had Habit Of Self Harm. Remedy?
I was depressed a while back and I used to cut myself. Even years after the fact, my arms still hurt occasionally. I never needed stitches, and I never had infected wounds, but the upper part of the inside my left lower arm has been hurting for over a day now, and it won t stop. It feels stingy and a bit burny, hurts at the touch but also without being touched. What do I do?
Hello.
Thanks for giving us an opportunity to help you. From the explanation that you have given, it appears that one of the wounds that you had made didn't heal well and has led to some sort of infection. Probably you need to get examined by a surgeon who can have a look at it and may be suggest you some antibiotics and some pain killers. I am sure you are taking some psychiatry help for your depression and tendency to cut yourself. If not please visit a psychiatrist, who can start you on some antidepressants and also engage in some talk therapy.
Hope you will be fine soon.
