Could I Take Only Cortisone Injection For The Achilles Tendonitis?

Had severe to tolerable pain in back of heel, but sometimes it will change to inside of heel, then, at times it will radiate to very bottom of heel. Went to a DPM but he advised me that, according to X-Ray, I had Achilles tendonitis with a calcified tendon. He did nothing. Months later, I went to an orthopedist, who had a moon-boot ordered for me, but that throws the weight to opposite bad knee. Is it possible, I could have something that I could just get a cortisone injection to give me some relief? Was x-rayed and advised this almost 6 years ago.

I would not suggest you to take steroid injection as there is chances that it may cause damage of the tendon. It may even lead to tendon tear. I would recommend you to opt for surgery for removal of calcium growth by endoscopic surgeries.
