Could Losartan, Lipitor And Flexoril Affect Drug Urine Test To Be Positive?
hello, I need some help with a drug urine that i took, that came up positive for cocaine. I am currently in court for this because i do not do drugs. I just got back on all my medications two weeks before this came up positive. I had been taking a drug test every weekend, and the past twenty urines were negative for everything. I am a diabetic, have high blood pressure and just switched all my medications around when this happened. Metformin, Lisinopril, which I changed to Losartan, and Lipitor. Flexoril and tonic water for the muscle spasms. I also had first stages of kidney disease. Could any of this affect my urine?
The test is false positive.Because you are taking a lot of medication, it is likely that the reagent used to test cocaine in blood interacted with these medications and gave false positive. you dont have to worry about anything. just repeat the test after stopping meds for one week. These things are common.Even the lab workers make mistakes if they dont know your medical history. its a human error.
