Could Meloxicam Be The Cause Of A Prolonged Menstrual Period?

I started taking Meloxicam on 1/20/2011. On 1/29/2011, I started my period and as of today (2/20/2011), I still have my period. The first 14 days of my period I have had light spotting and clotting. It was dark brown in color. These past 9 days I have had light bleeding and clotting which is red to dark red in color. My last period was on 6/7/2010 and for the most part, my periods have been normal for me. I'm 51 years old and I thought I was on my way to menopause just counting down until the 12 month time of not having a period. I have read the side effects of Meloxicam, but could not find anything of where it causes prolonged menstrual bleeding. Could the Meloxicam be the cause or the onset of my period? Could the Meloxicam be the cause of my prolonged period?
