Could Regestrone Cause Pregnancy?

Hello doctor, I m not having my periods for three months.My doctor advised me to take regesterone tablet, before taking we done a homemade pregnancy test,it becomes negative,but she told me it may also a late pregnancy ,but now I m over weight with in this time,please tell me that Is regesterone will make me pregnancy or not

Welcome to HCM,
I read your query and i appreciate your concern regarding this issue.
Regestrone is a hormonal prepration Norethisterone, it is not used for conception.
It is used to treat premenstrual syndrome, painful periods, abnormal heavy bleeding, irregular periods, menopausal syndrome (in combination with oestrogen), or to postpone a period.
If you are expecting pregnancy then I would suggest you to do not take this medication.
I would advise you to go for pelvic ultrasound to rule out pregnancy or any other cause of delay in mensturation.
I would suggest you to do not take any medication without confirmation of pregnancy.
