Could A Bruise Be Due To Blood Thinning Caused By Medication?
I woke up toady with a bruise on top if my left foot (side most touching the bed) for the 1st time in my life. Had heart attack 2 weeks ago and on Aspirin 81mg, Crestor 40mg, Effient 10mg, Lopressor 100mg twice a day was on Cozaar 25 mg but stopped that 3 days ago. No bruising over the past 11 out of the hospital nor the prior 3 days in ICU/CCU.
is my body finally use to the meds and too much blood thinning?
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. Two weeks ago you had heart attack, and stopped the drugs 3 days ago. You are not expected to stop the drugs, unless advised by your doctor. The bruise may not be concerned with the stopping of the drugs, it may be due to the allergy , or a boil due to a prick or some thing of that sort. I advise you to consult a surgeon for diagnosis and treatment, and continue the drugs for preventing the heart attack. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
