How To Confirm A Lesion In The Intestine?

I am 48 240 lbs and it's been a year since I have had CABG X 4. I am on Effient and the other night fell down my steps. I fractured my tailbone. The following day I had blood in my stool. That happend a couple of days and I went to the ER. The doctor thinks it was the impact and the Effient. MY concern is colon cancer. I also take fish oil and crestor along with Lopressors and 5mgs of Lisinopril. The Lopressors were 75mg X 2 daily. My pcp does not think the impact caused the bleeding. Now I am more worried about some lesion in the intestine. What is your opinion?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello dear

Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com
I have evaluated your query thoroughly .

* Bleeding from anus if ruled out local pathology as piles or fissure by
surgeon then systemic issues come into suspicious .

* If drug related cause is ruled out , intestinal bleeding has to be verified
with colonoscopy as final resort .

Hope this clears your doubt .
Regards .
