Could Acne On Face And Chest Be The Side Effects Of Taking Femilon Pill?
Hi, My Gyane had recommened me to eat femilon as an Oral Contraceptive. It's just been 7 days that I have been taking it. But I have got severe acne (small pimples) on my face and chest. With most of them on forehead. Do you think it has reacted. Request you to please suggest.

Hello.The most widely used Contraceptives combine two components:estrogens derivatives and progesterone derivatives. Progesterone Derivatives (Desogestrel on pill that you take) have androgenic side effects and therefore Acne appears.
In that case It is recommended replace the contraceptive by other pill combining estrogen derivative with anti-androgen derivative (for example Cyproterone Acetate).I wish you good health.
