Could An Persistent Inflamed Elbow With Fluid Be Bursitis Or Cancer?

My husband has an inflamed elbow with fluid. He has been prescribed antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medication, started on wednesday evening. I have applied ice and got his arm elevated as much as possible. the fluid was drained from his elbow on Wednesday morning but re-appeared by Thurs. afternoon. The fluid has now successfully been re-absorbed but I find that the elbow is still getting inflamed after a period of time. My husband is resting the elbow and I have a compression bandage on it (after reducing the inflamation with an ice pack). I am concerned that the elbow seems to continue becoming inflamed. What are the symptoms of cancer of the elbow. I realise that this may be bursitis and we are awaiting the results of the fluid analysis. Thank you for your time. regards, Ingrid.
