Could Asthma Symptoms, Coughing, Stuffy Nose, Sore Throat Be Due To Bronchitis?

I have been sick for over a month now. I have been to the doctors twice. I was mostly treated for asthma. The first session I was given inhalers, but then my asthma worsen. My main symptoms were mainly coughing. The second session I was given oral medication. I forgot the name, but know it started with a P. I didn't notice any significant difference except my cough mellowed a bit. However, now I still am coughing and have a stuffy nose. I don't have a sore throat, but wonder if I might have bronchitis.

Hello,

You still have a cough and stuffy nose. For that, you can be prescribed an antihistaminic drug like levocetrizine or phenylephrine. Drink more water. Avoid smoking. Auscultation, chest, and CBC investigation should be done. Provide that report for guiding further for treatment. Consult a physician for examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami
