Could Being Tested Negative At 3 And 6 Months Be Conclusive Or Could I Still Have HIV After 200 Days?

Hello, I had AIDS symptoms after a vaginal intercourse, and the AIDS test was negative in 3 months with the rapid test, and then we found out that I have Helicobacter and we treated it, and after 6 months, that is, 180 days later, I took the third generation test and it was negative, but now In the next 200 days, a sore throat appeared and I went to the doctor, he said it was a viral disease Is it possible that it is HIV? or not Thank you for your response

Hi,

A non-reactive HIV antibody detection test after 90 days is very much conclusive in the absence of any immunosuppressive drugs or immunocompromised conditions or when not taking post exposure prophylaxis drugs.

Even in the presence of such conditions a nonreactive HIV test 180 days after the risky contact is conclusive. Thus, you are free from HIV for sure. Sore throat is one of the commonest ailment for anyone to have. Your problem is not related to HIV infection.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
