Hi, I went to my GI Doctor last week for examination. I have fullness or bloutness near my stomach on left side all the time & gets worse when I eat . Stool test came back positive for blood. Sending me for Blood work & Endoscopy in one week. I had this for more than one year, but getting worse. I also have urgent bowel movements on occassion. Very slight pain once in a while. Eating well, no weight loss. Have been diagnosed with Divetiulitis, Gurd. Hiatel Hernia 3 years ago. Any info will be very helpful, Thank You. Bill PS, Sorry for poor spelling.
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if you do have multiple problem in you GI system then you have to be very careful in terms of diet and medicine, as long as the diverticulitis is concern If I would be your doctor then I would treat this condition conservatively, if you do not have compelling manifestation, bowel rest, antibiotic, would be the line of treatment, now for your GERD it is best treated with "Omeprazole 40 mg once in day for six weeks, this will surely come around and nothing to worry about this, have nice day.
