Could Chest Pains, Breathlessness, Vomiting, Lightheadedness Be Due To A Heart Hole?
i've been having many chest pains and feel out of breathe... i have been exercising yest. and i felt like i had to vomit and couldn't breathe and felt light headed. what could this be? i was told i was born with a hole in my heart? could this be affecting me now?
You have not mentioned your present age. You have also not mentioned the specifics of the hole in your heart. It could be atrial septal defect (ASD) or ventricular septal defect (VSD). Most of such holes close on their own with time. But all holes do not close and such a hole could indeed be behind your breathlessness. I insist that you visit a cardiologist and get a echocardiogram done to evaluate the present status. The vomiting is probably unrelated. It could be due to some gastrointestinal problem but the details are not enough to suggest the cause.
