Could Constipation Be Due To Red Bull Energy Drink?

My healthy, 26 year old, son drove through the night, from northern VA to central' ME,14 hrs., during which time he consumed 3 Red Bull energy drinks. He is now suffering from severe constipation. Could Red Bull be the cause? Thank you.

No, red bull should not cause constipation and it should even cause soft stool and diarrheas due to high coffeine concentration so it acts like coffee actually. So he should find another cause of constipation such as innapropriate diet or too low fluid intake.
