Could Cystic Ovaries Be The Reason For Not Menstruating For Months While Taking Junel?

I am taking Junel fe 1/20 birth control pills, and have been on them over a year. My question is I have not had a period foe 6 months, I know that I am not pregnant. Is this normal? Or should I talk to my GYN about this. I am 42 years old could I possibly be going through the early stages of menopause? I do have 4 small cysts on my right ovary that my dr said I should not worry about. Could this be part of the problem?

Hi, thank you for the query.
With this presentation, I think the absence of your period is as a result of the birth control pills you are taking. This common and should not disturb you so much. You may continue with the pills if you do not have other side effects that might need a change of drug.

I hope that answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. We will be delighted to answer more questions from you.
I wish you good health
