Could Dizziness Be A Result Of COPD And Heart Disease?

My grandmother has copd and heart disease. She has been having dizzy spells that come on sudden and she feels like she is going to pass out and sometimes does. She was out shopping and just passed out in the aisle of the store. Could this be a symptom of copd and the hear disease? And is there anything to treat the fainting?

Hi,
Her sudden collapses could be due to a number is causes. In the first instance, I suggest you have her heart checked. She may be suffering episodes of arrhythmias which can reduce to blood flow to the brain. This would then make her feel dizzy and possibly pass out.
I hope this is of help. Please contact me if I can be of any further assistance.
