Could Doxylamine Succinate Be Given To A Child With ADHD?

Is it safe to give my child doxylamine succinate. He is 9 and has ADHD and NEVER sleeps. This is what he takes to go to bed and still remains awake...its crazy! He takes 50mg benadryl, .3mg clonidine, 25 mg zoloft and 500 mg depakote. I really feel he needs a benzo but I dont think his Dr will jump on that idea.

Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. You should be worried but not too much. Doxylamine can be given to children elder than 6 years unless specifically directed by the doctor. Do not give the 25 milligram tablets to child because he is younger than 12 years, unless directed by the doctor. I advise him to take 2 tablets of Ashwagandha for good sleeping. You can discuss this with your treating Doctor.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
