Could Getting Red Spots Near Groin Area And Growling Stomach After Protected Sex Are Early Signs Of HIV?
Hi, I had sex with a prostitute(protected sex) and it has been 3 weeks now, I am worried if I have contracted HIV virus after that sexual encounter,as I have got red spots near the groin area, and my stomach constantly keeps growling. I am worried if this could be early signs of HIV.And also is there a test that can determine if anybody is hiv+ in three weeks time.
Presence of HIV infection cannot be detected only with the symptoms. The symptoms as mentioned in your post may be due to other sexually transmitted infections. There are certain tests like p24 assay or PCR for HIV, which becomes positive within a week and are almost 100 % sensitive. Even the presence of a single virus in the body can be detected by PCR. So, if this test comes negative, you can be sure that you are safe.
Wishing you a good health. Take care.
