Could Hives In Legs And Hands Due To Allergic Reactions To Vitamins?

hello, for the past 1,5 months ive been taking B 12, B 2, Magnesium oxide, aspirin, b complex, D 3 and synthroid. And suddenly for the past 2 weeks, ive been getting hives/ huge welts on my legs and now on my hands and stomach which itch and burn and occurs during the night and morning when im in bed. Could any of the above be the reason for these hives? my eating habits have not changed nor any of my routines.do you think it could be an allergic reaction to the vitamins or something else? thank you

Greetings! Right now, for the itching I feel that over the counter ointments to reduce the itching and irritation might be appropriate. Then, we must figure out which of the above mentioned products may be the culprit and an apparent reaction that seems to coincide with you adding supplements and medication to your diet. First of all, I am not certain for what reason you take magnesium, but I personally do not know why they sell it. It is not absorbed well at all in the oxide form. The type of magnesium I like the best is magnesium citrate malate for cramping and repletion due to medications, etc. If you are taking it for constipation the liquid magnesium citrate will get you moving in no time at all. Make certain you take your synthroid on an empty stomach an hour or so before food for best absorption. I would guess you may have a sensitivity to a filler in one of the products you are taking. Also, check your matress for any bugs that might be biting you during the night - just to rule that out. Have you changed detergents, fabric softeners or purchased new sheets? These are other things to think about. I wish you luck in sorting this out, but I have not heard of this type of reaction to vitamins themselves, but fillers, possibly. This cannot continue much longer. You can try taking yourself off all the products you mentioned and see if the symptoms go away. Then if theydo, gradually add them back one by one until you find what may be causing the symptomes. I hope I have given you some ideas on how to proceed with this problem.
