Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi, Thanks for writing to HCM.

An xray of the injured part is mandatory to rule out any bony injury (fracture). If you are able to ACTIVELY move the arm without any significant pain, then a fracture is unlikely. If there is significant swelling and visible deformity of the arm, then there is likelihood of a fracture.

So, consult an orthopedic surgeon for a detailed clinical examination and for further management.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day
