Difficulty losing weight could be secondary to a thyroid problem. This can be easily checked by a blood test called "TSH", which stands for thyroid stimulating hormone. If the TSH is elevated, this could indicate that your thyroid is underactive and may be contributing to your difficultly losing weight. People do have different speeds of metabolism which may not relate directly to thyroid, however. Difficulty losing weight could also be related to the types of foods you are eating and your tendency towards insulin resistance. These are some things you may wish to discuss with your doctor. Hope this helps.
