Could Itching Skin/red Patches Around Ears/neck/thighs Be Due To Low Thyroid?
My skin is very itchy and I'm getting dry, red patches on and around my ears, neck, nipples, and now upper chest and thighs. I had a borderline low thyroid reading at my check up in January, and am going back next week for a follow up test to determine treatment, if any. Could this skin issue be a result of the low thyroid?
Hypothyroidism can lead to dry skin and itching, but it is usually in severe forms of hypothyroidism.
So I suggest you to see a dermatologist also for your skin problem.
Hope it helps...
