Could Low Platelet Count Be Related To Anaemia?
my niece recently had her yearly physical. She is 23 years old. Her CBC showed she is anemic (being treated with iron tablets) but ALSO that her platelets were very low. Can low platelets be related to the anemia? Why would someone is good health, feeling fine, turn up with low platelets? thanks Kristen Jones

I really appreciate your concern, of course if this is the anemia and low platelet count then this must be related with each other and some blood disorders and infectious disease need to be ruled out, condition may be self limiting or may need immediate medical attention, hope this information helps, take care.
