Could Muscle Ache And Tingling In Arms Be Related To Hypothyroidism?

My husband has hypothyroidism. Just had his numbers checked and it was 4.49. He has been having muscle
aches in his arms and they tingle. The tingling goes away right after he eats and then comes back. Do you think
this is thyroid related or something else?

Hello,
Thanks for your query.
The symptoms that you are having are likely to be due to a pinched nerve at the level of cervical spine. The other possible cause is vitamin B 12 deficiency .This not sems to be related to hypothyroidism.
An MR of the neck and the affected shoulder will help in diagnosing the exact problem. Right now you can start taking methylcobalamin supplements, avoid overhead activities, avoid using a pillow . Doing cervical isometric exercises under the guidance of a physiotherapist will also be helpful.

I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
