Could Muscles And Joints Pain With Massive Voiding Be Due To UTI?

I know I am not spelling this right but I have been on leviquin for almost 42 days now due to an infection in my bone. I have been taking it with vanc. Yesterday I went to the Saturday Clinic and didn t see my regular doctor because all my muscles and joints have been hurting and she told me the only thing wrong with me was a uti. The only medication I have ever taken (since I can t take sulfa drugs) is leviquin. So is it possible to have a uti? I have diabetes and it doesn t burn to go to the restroom and on top of that everything I use the restroom i tinkle a gallon full it seems like...not just about a quarter size. She gave me cipro for the uti and I don t want to have it filled and start taking it while on so many other medications at this time if I don t have to. Thanks, DeNell Chandler

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The urinary tract infection can cause muscle and joint pain.

I suggest using a cycle of antibiotics such as Augmentin to treat the infection.

I also suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contappct me again.

Kind regards!
