Could My Lower Back And Pelvic Pain, Along With Frequent Urination And Trace Leukocytes But Negative Nitrites, Indicate A UTI?
Hi, I have lower back pain. And dull/achy pain in my lower pelvic area that comes and goes. I have been peeing more than usual but it does not hurt to go pee. Could this be a UTI? I ve been taking test. And it s shows a trace of Luekycites but negative nitrate. My PH level is at about a 7. Blood is negative. Any insight?
Your symptoms can be indicative of a mild UTI. Get a urinalysis (R/E and C/S) done. If UTI is detected you will be treated with antibiotics. To get relief from pain, you can take acetaminophen, one stat after food (lunch). Frequent urination can be due to bladder irritation due to infection, dehydration, or certain foods. Back pain raises the question of an upper urinary tract issue.
In case you develop symptoms like fever, chills, or feeling unwell, get clinically examined by a urologist. Keep yourself adequately hydrated. Do not use public washrooms. Avoid sex for a couple of days. Your partner should also get urinalysis (R/E and C/S) done.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
