Could Nighttime Urination Be Side Effect Of Pantocid40 For Peptic Ulcers?
My father has been prescribed Pantocid40 for peptic ulcers and also triple therapy. Since he began the medication, he has frequent nighttime urination. Is this a side effect? He was hospitalized with bleeding ulcers, given a blood transfusion and then put on this course of medication. He is not a diabetic. Age: 71
The pantocid do not have such kind of side effects. The night time urination may be due to some other problem particularly related to prostate. You might be aware that prostate problems are very common in elderly person. The other cause may be use of water pills prescribed for treatment of high blood pressure. If he is not taking any such things it indicates most probably urinary tract infection which needs to be treated as soon as possible. Talk to your doctor to find the exact cause for night time urination.
