hi, i m a 50 year old white male, 185 lbs, non smoker......I had gotten the flu and pulled a neck muscle in the same week.... with bed rest and lots of ibuprofen my neck is fine..two weeks later, my knees & feet swelled up to a point I couldn t walk... feet have sence returned to normal,, but knees are still swelled....when I wake up....knees are normal size.. 10-15 minutes of being on my feet they swell.........never had this problem before I got the flu......ive had a bloodtest for gout and lymes disease, both came back negative. could too much ibuprofen cause this..??? or your best guess.thank you, clint

I don't think ibuprofen is the culprit here...some viral fever can cause joint pain and joint swelling...for example chikun gunya...I think you need some more evaluation and tests to be done before we can confirm it but my best guess would be viral fever...
