Hi,

Yes, pain in the food pipe and stomach is due to the side effect of danogen-50. Nausea, heart burn, dyspepsia or epigastric pain may occur with the use of danogen-50. It may be due to the dosage taken. It can be prevented by stomach acid suppressant like antacid or proton pump inhibitor. Talk to your doctor about reducing its dosage or switching to another drug. I advise certain lifestyle changes to prevent this problem like:
- Avoid lying down soon after taking a medicine
- Elevate the head of the bed
- Avoid spicy foods, alcohol and coffee

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
