Could Persistent Ache In Buttock And Side Calf With Weak Front Thigh Be Sciatica?

I am a healthy 58 yr. old with persistent aching radiating down my buttock and side calf ,with occasional weakness in the front thigh. Not sure if this is sciatica? I've been doing the recommened stretches for that condition. What sort of evaluation and DR. should I seek?? Thanks!

Hi,
You are having low back pain which radiate to thigh and calf region Associated with numness in front of your thigh . These are the symptoms of radicular pain which occurs due to nerve compression due to neurological or bony abnormality (can be Sciatica which is compression of sciatic nerve ).It needs proper examination and investigations ( MRI X Ray LSSpine EMG.......Etc).
You need to visit a orthopaedic clinic for diagnosis and accordingly its management.

Thanks n regards
