Could Popped Ear, Dizziness And Painful Jaw Mean Popped Eardrum?

I was blowing my nose, as I have quite the cold, when I felt a small pop in my ear and then I got very dizzy. If I hadn t been sitting down, I think I would have fallen. After sitting for a minute and regaining my bearing, I could feel/hear liquid in my ear when I pressed near the tragus. Also there is a lot of pain in my jaw. Could I have popped my eardrum?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that the pop is related to the ear drum or changes in the eustachian tube.

This is a tube that connects the middle ear to the back of the throat. It has different functions including playing a part in pressure in the ear.

The cold is one of the causes of eustachian tube dysfunction (abnormal function) which can be associated with dizziness.

It would be best to see your doctor for an assessment.
If there is a hold in the ear drum, it will heal in a few weeks though symptoms can occur till that time.

I hope this helps
