Could Puffiness Of Skin Below Right Shoulder Be A Fat Deposit?

Puffiness of the skin just below my right shoulder and above the collarbone - NO lumps, no hardness, just feels puffy to the touch and is slightly visibly larger than on left side. Is this a fat deposit? I have gained weight. Curious, but don't want to overreact.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for your query.
Well, without a clinical evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of the pffiness. Possibilities that may need to be considered include enlarged bursa, lipomas, cysts, growths from underlying connective tissue etc.
I would suggest getting this evaluated by an orthopedician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
