Could Rectal Discomfort With Inflammation Be Due To STD?
Hey.. I have a question, a few months ago, before getting into the tub, I bent over to feel the water, unknowing my dog was behind me she licked my anus/genital area, And a few months later, I feel a strange rectal discomfort, and sometimes I pee and it burns, Is it possible I have a STD? Please help. And thanks in advance.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Licking of the anal region by your dog will not cause sexually transmitted disease (STD). Unprotected sexual activity can only lead to STd. The clinical features of STds are: 1. appearance of rash on genitalia 2. Ulcer- painful or painless on genitalia 3. Lymph node enlargement in the genital or inguinal region 4. Discharge 5. Vesicles on the genitalia
In case you experience any of these features, there is suspicion of STDs. Protected sex should be practiced to prevent the transmission of STD.
