Could Reduced Sexual Urges Be Due To Nebicard SM?

Doc, I m on Nebicard SM for past 2-3 months . Earlier I was on Nebicard 2.5 & Nebicard 5 for 2 yrs or so. I have a little high BP which at max has gone to 140/95 and generally remains in the vicinity of 130/90 I have been experiencing problems with abnormally reduced sexual urges recently. could this be an effect of Nebicard SM??

Hi,

Yes, Nebivolol may be responsible for your problem. Nebicard-SM is a combination of beta blocker (Nebivolol) and a calcium channel blocker commonly prescribed to treat high blood pressure. The common side effects of Nebivolol include slow heart rate, fatigue, cold extremities, and erectile dysfunction (impotency). I advise you to consult your doctor for an alternate effective but a safer medication to control your high BP.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
