Could Sharp, On And Off Spasmodic Intense Pain Below Rib Cage After Eating Be Just Gas?

Hello, I have moderate R flank pain just below my rib cage. The pain is sharp and intermittent with spasmodic burst of relatively intense pain. It seemed to worsen after I ate. When should I be concerned and seek medical attention, and could this just be gas?

Hi,

Thanks for writing yo HCM.

It can be gastritis or gall bladder stone....try taking a ppi for a few days...if it resolves it was gas...else get an ultrasound scan of your abdomen done to rule out calculi...
