Could Spine And Ribs Pain Be Only Due To Urinary Tract Infection?

Hi, I was admitted into hospital on the 2nd of jan due to severe pain between my hip spine and ribs on the right side (kidney area) I was diagnosed with a UTI but i feel there s more to it. It s very painful probably the worst pain I have ever felt. The ultrasound showed free fluid in the pouch of Douglas as well as polyps, I have also been experiencing very heavy periods to the point where I would stay up til 3 in the morning at that time of the month just to change my toiletries down there otherwise I would mess on the sheets. I also experience pain during intercourse as well as spotting afterwards, spotting is experienced throughout the month, should I get a second opinion, the back pain it unbearable I m considering going back to the hospital

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
Your pain at the right flanx suggests, the renal colic, it may be due to the urinary tract infection, or stone in the urinary tract.
The results of the ultra sound are suggestive of some pelvic inflamatory disease. But it has nothing to do with the present pain.
The pain during the period, and during the inercourse are due to the P.I.D. and you can have treatment latter with appropriate drugs.
Now you should get treatment immediately for renal colic.of course you can now go back to hospital, and have treatment for renal colic.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
