Hi,

MTprost (Misoprostol) is a medication used for medical abortion, which is a termination of pregnancy using medication rather than surgery. It works by causing the uterus to contract and expel the contents of the uterus, including the pregnancy tissue.

Spotting and bleeding are common side effects of MTprost, and it's possible that the spotting you are experiencing is a result of the medication. However, it's important to note that spotting can also be a symptom of other conditions, such as hormonal imbalances or infections. If the spotting continues for an extended period or becomes heavy, you should speak with your healthcare provider.

Acidity, or heartburn, is not a known side effect of MTprost. However, the medication may have caused some gastrointestinal upset, which could lead to symptoms of acidity. It's important to drink plenty of fluids and avoid spicy, greasy, or acidic foods if you are experiencing these symptoms. If you are still experiencing light spotting and extreme acidity, you should speak with your healthcare provider.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi,

Spotting and acidity can be side effects of Mtprost (misoprostol), which is commonly used for medical abortion. However, it is important to note that any ongoing bleeding or symptoms should be evaluated by a healthcare provider to ensure that there are no complications or infections.

It is also important to follow up with a healthcare provider to ensure that the abortion is complete and there are no remaining products of conception. If the symptoms are severe or persist, it is recommended to seek medical attention as soon as possible.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
